Hailé Selasié: (Lij Tafari Makonnen)

► (1892-1975) Emperador o negus de Abisinia. Fue coronado rey en 1928 y emperador en 1930. Atacado por Italia en 1935, abandonó el país en 1936. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial fue apoyado por Gran Bretaña, y en 1941 recuperó Addis Abeba. Consiguió la independencia de su país y le dio otra Constitución en 1955, otorgándose mayor poder. En 1960 se enfrentó a una sublevación y en 1974 fue privado de sus prerrogativas hasta ser finalmente depuesto.
